April Fool's

Wow, the year just keeps racing along, I can't believe it's already April. I did have a nice surprise, I found a gift card to Hastings that I'd tucked away from Christmas...yes, my house is that insane :) Now I have to consider what to buy with my fun little surprise. I've already pre-ordered Karen Chance's next book, but I'm not sure what else is coming out in April. Do you have any suggestions of can't miss books???

Hope you're enjoying your spring!

Alex

I do a handy preview each month of all of the urban fantasy paranormal releases. You can view the April list here. For myself I don't want to miss Anne Aguirre's Blue Diablo, Fragile Eternity by Melissa Marr or the new Harry Dresden. A couple of debuts I am looking forward to are Lyn Benedict's Sins and Shadows and Chloe Neill's Some Girls Bite.

What a great list...thanks so much :) I did pick up Kim Harrison's book, I'd been waiting for the pb, but I decided to splurge and I have Ward on pre-order!!! Has anyone read the inbetween plum book by Evanovich?? I wondered if it was worth the money.

The new Argeneau book "The Immortal Hunter" by Lynsay Sands came out on the 31st of March and it's terrific. Also a new novel of The Others by Christine Warren called "You're so Vein" is out and is also wonderful. I read both books this weekend and recommend them highly. Man, I wish I could savor books slower but I devour them like chocolate bonbons! Oh well, at least they aren't fattening.

My advice is to wait for paperback on Plum Spooky. It wasn't bad, it just was so-so (the series seems to sort of repeat itself to me lately).

I read the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews this weekend and absolutely loved it (and I didn't think it would be my thing - I tend to stick with the more typical romance series over urban fantasy). I also found the Mercy Thompson series lately and wouldn't be able to pick my favorite of the two.

The Demonica series by Larissa Ione recently made my 'must buy' list. I really enjoyed series that as well.

I also recently read Marked by Passion by Kate Perry (the start of a new series) and was thrilled with it.

My husband has had an extended stay in the hospital lately, so I've been able to really wipe out my book pile obviously!

I pick up a lot of my favorite recommendations from these posts. Thanks everyone!

I'm a little late to the party but I just finished the first of back to back books by Kerrelyn Sparks' Secret Life of a Vampire and the one coming out at the end of this month, Forbidden Nights with a Vampire. She's a real hoot. I must also tell you that I just finished your latest, Darkness Revealed and I must say it was one of those books that will stay with me for a long time. Absolutely loved it.
