Bleck

So the weather went from brutal cold to endless rain and fog...sigh. I need some pick me up, which always means good books!! I'm in the middle of Karen Chance's new one, and I intend to pick up Larissa Ione's when it hits the shelves. What books to I need to add to my list? Or even a movie that has recently come out on DVD? I just bought the Proposal, which I loved and Star Trek. Is there any others I need to check out?

Help me...please :)

Passing this along for a Friend :))

On January 19th, Entwined by Fate the first in a innovative and sexy new series from S.A.Price releases. This series breaks the accepted boundaries on what is familiar in the shifter genre, by having Ophidians, or weresnakes as a focus.

Thirty females of the Ophidian race have gone missing, most from the transient nest of Las Vegas, a rogue and unofficial nest run by the Saint, John Merrick. Believed to be dead by every Archon in the states, Merrick leads a quiet and unassuming life, saving those of his race that are lost and need it most. It's a solitary existence, one that he hates every day. He yearns for his mate, the woman he left over a decade before, and the woman who thinks him dead to this day.

When Elise Rizdon gets the official invitation to the Archon meeting in Ohio by the leader of a new Midwestern nest, she never expected to see the love of her life at the woman's side, a man she was told was dead and buried. She lost him once upon a time, and she never fully recovered. Focusing on the issues, and not the man that has always made her body burn is not going to be easy. A disturbing event is on the horizon, one that threatens all Ophidian's and their way of life. In order to survive they will have to work together, give up old grudges and take chances on the things that matter most. Love, life and the continuation of their race.

Loose Ends

This weekend is organizing my oldest son...he has to go back to college on Sunday which means I have to get all his clothes washed and packed and then his room cleaned (I'm considering having a hazmat team come in and having the toxic waste hauled away :) On Monday I might actually have the house back to myself...like a gift from God!!! As much as I love my family having them underfoot for the past month has meant that my writing has been done in fits and spurts with constant interruptions. It will be a wonderful thing to have hours of uninterrupted writing time!!!

Of course, I might jjust find a place on the sofa, grab ahold of the remote control that I haven't touched in weeks and just vegggggggg. Oh, what a beautiful dream!!

In the trenches

I'm still trying to recover from the holidays. It's not easy when I still have the boys and their friends in the house...can you say 'toxic waste?' I am plugging away on the historical anthology which will have an appearance from Levet and I just finished up a story for the Mammoth Book of Regencies which includes some fabulous authors (I'll be writing under the name Alexandra Ivy). The weather's been so cold that it hasn't been worth getting out of the house :) On the plus side my enforced hibernation has led me to try a few new tv shows and I have to admit that I've fallen in love with Leverage!! And of course, I'm excited about the return of the Ghost Hunters International!

What about you all? Have you found a new show or author that's helped chase away the winter blues???
