In the trenches

I'm still trying to recover from the holidays. It's not easy when I still have the boys and their friends in the house...can you say 'toxic waste?' I am plugging away on the historical anthology which will have an appearance from Levet and I just finished up a story for the Mammoth Book of Regencies which includes some fabulous authors (I'll be writing under the name Alexandra Ivy). The weather's been so cold that it hasn't been worth getting out of the house :) On the plus side my enforced hibernation has led me to try a few new tv shows and I have to admit that I've fallen in love with Leverage!! And of course, I'm excited about the return of the Ghost Hunters International!

What about you all? Have you found a new show or author that's helped chase away the winter blues???

Alex

If I can just get rid of hordes of people in my house I intend to sit down for a few hours and just read...sigh.

I found Shannon K. Butcher's The Sentinel Wars series. I'm on the waiting list at the library for the second one.

In the mean time I'm enjoying Embrace the Darkness...sound familiar :)

This kids still haven't gone back to school, Christmas break (can I say that on your blog?) seems to have been extended due to weather...I'm going a little crazy because of it.

I need to get them fed and occupied and then I can curl back up with Viper and Shay - yay!

Thanks for giving me something to do!

I hope I can give you a few hours away from the craziness :) Not only are the boys still here but the weather has been so crazy they don't want to get out of the house...oy. My cabinets are empty, my sink is filled with dishes, and my head throbbing. I need peace!

You could drive across the state and hang out with me...you may still be stuck inside, but at least the kids and the dishes won't be yours. That always makes a huge difference for me!

I've truly thought about taking shelter with my mother! She loves to cook and clean and all that other stuff...crazy woman! Then, of course, she calls to tell me she's headed to California. Sniff.

She may be crazy, but right now she sounds pretty smart!

I love Leverage. I first seen it when they had a marathon and now I am hooked. I just read the new release by Lora Adrian (vampires- great series). I am sure you have heard this before but the ONLY down side to reading series (which I LOVE LOVE) is that you have to WAIT forEVER for the next book. LOL. I am not good a waiting. Love your series and can't wait fot the next one. Happy New Year!!

I live in Missouri, so getting out of the house has been a problem. Especially since my cars radiator has given out. I fell in love with Leverage as soon as it came out and I can't wait for next wednsday when the new season starts.

There's a Leverage marathon on Jan. 13. Since we were dumped with more snow and 35 mile an hour wind to pile it all in front of my door it looks like I'll still be locked in to watch it!
